As Director, Innovation and Policy at The Evidence Network Inc. (TEN), I help innovation-enabling organizations and government innovation agencies measure their impact, implement evidence-based best practices, and communicate their value to clients and stakeholders. I maintain a deep and current understanding of academic literature and best practices pertaining to innovation support mechanisms, and develop new approaches to communicating that knowledge to TEN’s knowledgeable client base.
TEN’s clients include business incubators/accelerators; economic development organizations; government innovation agencies; research institutes and research networks; science and research parks; universities and colleges; technology commercialization organizations; and industry associations. Our assessments are used by clients to communicate their accomplishments to stakeholders; to support their requests for funding; and to inform refinements to their strategy and operations.
I build and lead growth teams for startups with complex, solution-driven, Business-to-Business offerings that have the potential to have a significant positive impact on the world. My previous work has endowed me with sectoral expertise in the fields of business innovation, startups, research commercialization, performance measurement, and science/innovation policy. I also have a deep interest in the economic and social applications of disruptive technologies such as artificial intelligence, fintech, VR/AR, life extension, genomics, and blockchain.
