The human brain is not an impressive piece of hardware. It excels within a small and shrinking range of specialized tasks, such as differentiating fried chicken and golden doodles, but it fails miserably outside this domain.
With this in mind, the purpose of my personal website is to serve as an external hard drive for my brain. I boil out the key takeaways from the books I read, the information I absorb, and the new ideas that bubble up from that stew, and back them up into this cloud storage facility. I’m mostly doing this as a favour to myself, but I also hope you, the as-of-yet hypothetical reader, derive some value from this exercise.
My intention for the year is to share one book review, and one novel thought in the form of a short blog post, every week.
